SUPPORT PhD SINEAD KANE

The Irish athlete PhD Sinead Kane, visually impaired, has been discriminated against precisely for this reason.
She wished to run in the ultrafons 24h race in Barcelona, but the organisers correrdors.cat prevented her from doing so, arguing security reasons for the other runners.
We tried to get the organisers to change their minds. Without success.
We have denounced this fact to the sponsor, the Barcelona City Council, to the Office Against Discrimination. Without success.
The media (Antena3 TV, OKdiario) have echoed the news. The people’s response has been one of indignation.

Now, our goal is not to get her to participate, but to ensure that discriminatory acts like this one do not happen again in Spain or in any other country.

People should be appreciated for their ability, not for their disability.

You can give encouragement and show your affection to Sinead by filling out the support form.
